Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator and Trainer
SUMMARY
Follows developed plan for the vehicle and wheelchair lift maintenance program for assigned vehicles and ensures that all maintenance is provided according to manufacturer requirements. Selects maintenance facilities and monitors repairs and associated costs. Follows developed plan and maintains a record keeping and reporting system for all vehicle maintenance records. Develops, schedules and provides training of new and existing drivers and performs route monitoring of all drivers.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Possession of a valid Class C Florida Commercial Driver’s License, with passenger transport endorsement and not more than four (4) current points, as verified by the DMV as a condition of employment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in adult day care environment and regularly works with interruptions. The employee occasionally works with steam tables. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Depending upon client participation and based on employee to client ratio requirements, employees are required to be able to travel to any Neighborly center to perform their work. Also, during those periods of time when the center (client) census is low, employees may be asked to volunteer to take their PTO or leave without pay. If there are no volunteers, the ADC Director, or his/her designee, has the authority to select an employee to involuntarily take PTO or leave without pay. An ADC policy addresses this in more detail.
