Program Assistant

SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Program Assistant to join the Evergreen Adult Day Center team. This position is responsible for providing customer service, and assisting clients as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist participants with personal care and mobility.

  • Lead and support recreational and therapeutic activities.

  • Monitor and report changes in participants’ behavior or health.

  • Maintain cleanliness and assist volunteers with participant engagement.

  • Substitute at other centers as needed (with additional pay)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma/GED or CNA/HHA certification.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead group activities.
  • Understanding of aging and human development.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and assist with mobility.
  • Required: Background check, TB test, CPR certification (per A.H.C.A.).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
