Scheduling/Dispatch

SUMMARY

We’re seeking a detail-oriented team member to assist with daily scheduling and dispatch operations. This role supports the smooth coordination of transportation services by managing phone inquiries, verifying rider eligibility, dispatching drivers, and maintaining accurate records. This position is part of a three-person scheduling/dispatch team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Answer and route phone calls professionally.

  • Confirm rider and destination eligibility.

  • Communicate program details and service options.

  • Coordinate with other Neighborly programs and forward referrals.

  • Handle dispatch functions as needed.

  • Maintain accurate reports and documentation.

  • Support overall department operations with a positive attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1–3 years of related experience.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with Pinellas County roads and services.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to input client data.
  • Valid Florida Driver License and background clearance required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Valid Florida Driver’s license and ability to pass background check
